What is Motion Picture House?

Motion Picture House is a large-scale audiovisual installation and art gallery, purpose built to showcase KID A MNESIA. It features a 75-minute movie that blends the architecture of the house with the world of the film which was built from art created by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood during the Kid A and Amnesiac recording sessions. The movie and surrounding galleries also premiere a new mix of the songs from KID A MNESIA in spatial audio.

Where is this taking place?

The first four stops that the installation will tour through are: Brooklyn, Chicago, and Mexico City in 2026, before coming to San Francisco in 2027.

What is included in the visit?

Each visit will be booked in a 2-hour slot. Screening times will be listed when checking out to purchase.

Each visit includes a film that runs for 75 minutes with additional time allotted to explore the gallery spaces at any pace.

Do I have to buy tickets in advance?

Yes. All tickets must be purchased ahead of time.

There are only a limited number of tickets available per screening.

All-in ticket prices, before local tax, are:

  • Brooklyn, NY: $72.43 USD + tax
  • Chicago, IL: $72.51 USD + tax
  • Mexico City, MEX: $1,480.00 pesos (includes tax)
  • San Francisco, CA: $74.30 USD

Will Radiohead be performing?

No.

What music is featured?

The soundtrack includes an entirely new mix drawn from the Kid A and Amnesiac multitracks, rendered in 6-point surround sound and composed to work with the architecture of the theatre.

Is Radiohead's Motion Picture House the same as the Coachella Bunker?

While there are some differences between each experience, both feature a movie and art inspired by KID A MNESIA.

Is there an age requirement and is this appropriate for kids?

Radiohead's Motion Picture House is an all-ages experience.

Is there reserved seating inside the venue?

No. This is a general admissions event. Guests may stand or sit on the cushioned floor as they choose on a first come, first served basis.

Ticketing Questions

How can I buy tickets?

Presale via Fair AXS will give fans the first chance to purchase, available at axs.com/motionpicturehouse.

Fans MUST register during the registration window Wednesday, April 8 – Sunday, April 12 in order to purchase during the presale.

What is Fair AXS Registration?

Fair AXS is built to make the ticket buying experience better. Instead of competing with bots the second tickets go on sale, you can pre-register during a set window at a time that works for you. Everyone who registers has the same chance, and fans are randomly selected for the opportunity to buy tickets at the artist's set price. By cutting down on bots and unfair buying, Fair AXS gets more tickets directly to fans for the shows you love.

When does the presale start?

Registrants will begin to be notified via email starting on Tuesday, April 21st on whether they are selected to purchase. Selection emails may come later than this date.

If selected, presale tickets will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, April 22nd at 10am local venue time.

Is there a public onsale?

Yes. Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis starting Friday, April 24th at 10am local time.

What if I have trouble with the registration or ticket buying process?

Can I refund or exchange my ticket?

No — all sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Visitor Questions

What time should I arrive?

Please be sure to arrive promptly at the time booked on your ticket to be sure to get the most out of your experience and screening.

In Brooklyn, please allow additional walking time from the Sands Street Entrance gate of the Brooklyn Navy Yard to the venue.

How do I get to the venue?

Brooklyn, NY:

Entrance to the Agger Fish Building is through the Brooklyn Navy Yard Sands Street Gate: 299 Sands Street Brooklyn, NY 11205.s

From the Sands Street Gate, it is a 7 minute (0.3 mile) walk to the Agger Fish Building.

Only ticketed guests will be allowed into the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Please purchase tickets before arrival.

What public transportation is available?

MTA Subway - Closest Stops:

  • F @ York Street (16 min walk)
  • A/C @ High Street (20 min walk)
  • 2/3 @ Clark Street (27 min walk)
  • G @ Fulton Street (32 min walk)

NYC Ferry:

  • Take the Astoria Line to the Brooklyn Navy Yard terminal (12 min walk)

Is parking available?

Brooklyn, NY:

No - cars will not be permitted entry into the Navy Yard. Public transportation or rideshare is highly encouraged.

Is the location accessible?

The experience is designed to be fully accessible.

Can visitors re-enter?

Re-entry is not allowed as it would disturb the experience for others.

Can I take photos or videos inside?

All photos and videos from inside the exhibition are prohibited. Camera stickers will be applied to each phone entering Motion Picture House.

No professional cameras or detachable lenses.

What can I bring into the venue?

ALLOWED ITEMS

  • Bags the size of an average backpack and smaller
  • Small purses and fanny packs
  • Umbrellas
  • Empty and refillable water bottles
  • Masks (must be removed at security screenings and alcohol point of sales; exceptions for medical or religious items)
  • Certified service animals with current vaccination records

  • Body chains or chain accessories
  • Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals
  • Medication in unlabeled containers (must be in original prescription bottle)

  • Aerosol cans or pressurized containers

Will there be merch available?

Merchandise will be available for purchase by event ticketholders only.

Is there food & drink available on site?

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

Is there a bag check/coat check?

No - the venue does not provide an area to check bags, coats, or any other personal belongings.
